House proud

This house was rebuilt from the studs, with all new systems, including outdoor irrigation, an re-imagined open layout and high-end amenities, and white-oak floors. Marco Maida, the Compass/Gambino Team agent representing the listing, says the home is about a month away from finished construction and a buyer can customize the finishing touches such as paint, fixtures and finishes, as they like.

“People can chose the finishes in the bathroom and [change] the appliances is they wish,” he says, adding there is opportunity to change up things like the fixtures and cabinets and to install a fireplace powered by the natural gas lines in place.

What’s the plan?

The 700-square-foot open-concept living and dining room has a vaulted ceiling and built-in storage and a built-in bar. A small counter seats three and separates the kitchen from the dining area, where three sets of sliding doors open to the deck. The main floor has three ensuite bedrooms, one of which is a primary bedroom suites. The second primary bedroom is on the second floor above the garage.

The bathrooms feature Waterworks sinks, faucets and fixtures. The finished basement is a clean slate, still customizable for a new buyer and can accommodate designs for a bathroom, gym, media room or an office and bedroom says Maida.

What’s cooking?

Appliances for the 300-square-foot kitchen are slated to include Wolf and Sub-Zero, but Maida says a buyer can choose something else. The custom cabinets are topped with Calacatta marble. There’s a skylight in the kitchen

What else?

The renovation was by Lucy Barnes, a design and construction firm on the North Fork. The two-car garage is heated and attached to the house. With an acre of land, there is room for a tennis court. The landscaping is to be completed with native plants, but Maida says the preferences of the buyer can be accommodated.

“All the properties in this neighborhood are well kept and classic,” says Maida, calling this offering “private and classy-chic, and great for entertaining, inside and outside.” The neighborhood, he says, is “calm, close to the beach and has the vibe of a weekend summer beach community.”
