Long Island Wine Country held its 50th Anniversary Grand Celebration on Saturday, August 19 at Peconic Bay Vineyards in Cutchogue. The event commemorated the founding of the Long Island wine region in 1973 when Louisa and Alex Hargrave first planted the first wine grapes in the area. The celebration, with Louisa Hargrave in attendance, included wine tastings from local vineyards, food pairings from and a live auction.
