What to do Labor Day Weekend? The choices are many, and yet can seem like an overwhelming tidal wave of options. Instead of getting stuck in the jetty of indecision, opt for the motion of the ocean on your plate.
This weekend, The Pridwin Hotel and Cottages is hosting a weekend’s worth of delicious events for both guests of the seaside spot and those who are looking for some fun a la carte weekend plans. Their first ever Seafood Fête will kick off on Saturday night with a “golden hour” (that’s sunset, and boy, does the Pridwin have a pretty fantastic view of it) farewell toast to summer 2026. From 5 to 7 p.m., head to the lawn or the deck for glasses of Moët champers, Chateauy Minuty rosé or specialty cocktails from Belvedere Vodka, along with oysters on the half and other aperitivo treats.

Set aside Sunday night for the big event — a seafood-centric take on chef Todd Ruiz’s famed Wednesday night barbecues. This family-style chow down will be held on the front lawn with multitudes of oysters, grilled lobster, just-caught local fish along with a multitude of farm-fresh sides, live music, wine and drinks a’flowing and, of course, great seaside vibes from 5 to 8 p.m.
For those wanting to do the full-immersion weekend, VIP overnight packages are available that include the Saturday and Sunday culinary celebrations, as well as continental breakfast daily. To reserve your spot for the Saturday or Sunday Seafood Fête, click here.
