House proud
Built in 2001 and renovated/updated in 2020, this home offers views of West Creek and sunsets views from the back deck.
“It’s great for four-season entertaining with a huge open area within the kitchen and dining areas and a deck, with lots of privacy,” says Marco Maida, the Compass agent representing the listing in New Suffolk.
What’s the plan?
The nearly 600-square-foot great room is the centerpiece of the first floor, featuring soaring ceilings, exposed beams and a handsome, newly reworked wood-burning stone fireplace. A primary bedroom suite on this level has two walk-in closets and a spacious ensuite bathroom with a soaking tub and oversized glass-walled rain head shower. There is also a window-lined corner home office and a second 126-square-foot family room or den. Three bedrooms on the second level offer privacy away from the common spaces and share a common full bathroom. Maida says there’s space for another bathroom.
The full-height insulated attic and large basement—the latter is used as a fitness room and for storage—offer expansion potential.

What’s cooking?
The 226-square-foot kitchen is equipped with updated stainless-steel appliances and country-style cabinetry, topped with granite. The center island seats three and has glass-paned storage on one side. Over the sink is a large multi-paned window with a large transom, letting in tons of light. There is a pantry approximately 6 x 5 feet.
What else?
There’s a front porch and a 239-square-foot covered back porch that leads to the deck. The grounds are large enough to accommodate a pool and offer potential for other expansion.

One cool thing
Every Wednesday around 6 p.m. in the summer, weather permitting, an informal regatta rounds Robins Island. Boats line up five minutes before and provide a sailing spectacle free and open to the public. The sea races began in 1978 and have increased in popularity, making them a rite of summer and a family outing tradition (read Northforker’s 2023 story on the regatta here).
Agent’s callout
“This is a very quiet that’s all about the summer—it’s a true beach neighborhood,” says Maida. “You don’t see many people other than beach goers, especially families.” He adds that the Wednesday regattas create an atmosphere for “people staying on the beach, having an aperitif and dinner and watching the regatta—it’s such a great moment.”

Location, location, location
“Everyone is looking at New Suffolk, Maida says, calling it a “tight-knit community with low property taxes.” The home is 1.1 miles from the center of Cutchogue. For sports, recreation and leisure buffs there are numerous options: the historic Old Cove Yacht Club, Cedars Golf Club and the North Fork Country Club. The New Suffolk Series is an eight-race program sailed on Peconic Bay off New Suffolk from June to mid-September. The Route 25 North Fork wine trail is nearby.
