The Good Day New York hosts featured Farm Country Kitchen owner Tom Carson and chef Todd Sabatini during a Good Day Café segment which aired on Thursday morning. Long Island Restaurant Week kicks off this weekend at dozens of restaurants across Nassau and Suffolk counties.

The $27.95 prix fixe deals run from Sunday, Oct. 30, to Sunday, Nov. 6 — except Saturday, when some restaurants only offer the deal until 7 p.m.

It’s been almost a year since we launched our weekly column “What’s For Lunch,” where we profile all the delicious mid-day meals available on the North Fork.

Farm Country Kitchen, the hidden gem eatery located on the Peconic River in Riverhead, received a very favorable review from the New York Times this week.

The waterfront dining spot, known for its tasty menu offerings as well as the view, was rated “very good” by Times food critic Kurt Wenzel.
