Tall ship Nao Santa María docked in Greenport Tuesday night in time for Columbus Day weekend tours.
The 98-foot wood and fiberglass ship is a replica of Christopher Columbus’ famed Santa María, which landed in America on October 12, 1492 on its maiden voyage with sister vessels the Niña and the Pinta. Its arrival was considered a milestone in history: the discovery of America. (more…)

Another tall ship has charted a course for the North Fork.
Amistad, a replica of the historic 19th century Spanish schooner that made history off the coast of Long Island, is docked at the Greenport Marina from Thursday, June 14 through Sunday, June 17. The deep water harbor has played host to a number of historic tall ships through the years, but this is the first voyage Amistad is making to the village. (more…)

Another tall ship is headed for the North Fork.
El Galeón, a replica of a 16th century Spanish galleon, is expected to dock in Greenport Harbor on Monday, according to village officials. Tours will begin on Tuesday, Oct. 18, according to Greenport Village Administrator Paul Pallas. Admission will be $10 for adults and $5 for children under 12. Children under five are free. (more…)
