Waking up to a view of the Long Island Sound is a pretty great way to start the day. Waking up to a view of the Long Island Sound with brunch at the Halyard? That’s beyond-the-sea dreamy.
Quietly launched this month, the seaside hotel and restaurant kicked off an all-new weekend brunch options. Offered both Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., the one-shot pricing offers a menu that’s no ho-hum hard boiled egg.
Dishes making it a destination include sourdough slathered avocado and pesto toast topped with a soft-boiled egg, spiced-up chai French toast with a sweet-tart side of strawberry compote and lemon ricotta; pork belly Benedict with fresh pancetta and tarragon béarnaise and, the ultimate in pasta-as-breakfast, rigatoni carbonara (come on, people — it’s a bacon-egg-n-cheese with NOODLES!).

Leaning into the lunch side of brunch, too, there are offerings like the plump herb aioli lobster roll, double smash burger (because two patties are always better than one) and a soy marinade-kissed fried chicken sammy. Yum.
For $55, you get to pick one of the entree options, along with house-made pastries and bagels, seasonal fruit, Euro-centric charcuterie, parfaits, granola and local preserves, all the coffee or tea you can drink (we can drink a lot!) and, for the grown-ups, a happy little Mimosa. Kids are $25. To make your reservation, click here.
