The Gist
Healthy, whole food-packed, simple yet delicious meals are not always easy to come by. Neither is that perfect place where you can run in for a quick bite to eat but also hang out for hours if that’s what the day calls for.
Since opening its doors on Valentine’s Day in 2015, North Fork Roasting Co. owner Jennilee Morris and her team have mastered the art of cozy coffee spot meets wellness-forward mouthwatering dishes.

The Vibe
The two-story building’s casual seating, sipping and dining area feels straight out of the 1990s sitcom Friends, with comfortable couches, a barista bar, charming décor, books, plants and bags of coffee beans placed throughout. Upstairs, you’ll find a library room beaming with natural light, shelves of reading material and places
to settle in, a children’s room full of toys to occupy kids while parents savor a moment of peace and a comfortable
conference room, available for reservations by groups or individuals.
The Food
Before you break out the fork and knife, you’re going to want to fill a mug. As a longtime roaster, Morris’s technique brings out the peak flavor of the coffee beans, making for top-notch caffeinated beverages. On the food side of the menu, there are lots of root vegetables, fresh flavors and all-day fuel. Pick from protein-packed options, vegan varieties or gluten-free plates to wholesomely satisfy every appetite.

NoFoRoCo Salad
Greens — outsourced out of season but from Deep Roots Farm in the warmer months — topped with tagine-grilled chicken, toasted almonds, dried blueberries, feta, sliced onions, carrots, radish and lemon vinaigrette create a subdued citrus-meets-harvest vibe. You’ve got the tang of tart blueberry, salty complement of the cheese, crunch of the almonds, carrots and radishes topped with an acidic yet oily dressing and aromatic chicken seasoning.
Vegan Wrap
A homemade cashew cream-lined wrap with in-house pickled jalapeños, bell peppers,
radish, sliced carrots, greens, avocado and everything bagel seasoning is spicy, smooth and crunchy in each bite. It’s a little punchy with the sour spice of the jalapeños, but nothing that can’t be balanced by the silky cashew blend and avocado up against the fresh, hydrating snap of the greens.
Egg Burrito
This protein-forward option is anything but boring, with two eggs, avocado, black beans, cheddar cheese, homemade chipotle aioli, homemade pico de gallo and in-house pickled onions. The starchy, refreshing but smoky velvety wrap will fill you up for breakfast or lunch.
Avocado Smash
On the richer side, get in your healthy fat from one full mashed avocado on toasted country white bread, sprinkled with roasted corn, pickled onions, radish, cilantro and everything seasoning. An egg on top is an optional addition to the savory, sweet and acidic dish.
Açai Bowl
Blended açai berries, banana and almond milk create a thick smoothie-like base for the bowl. Any bitter berry flavors are steadied by the sweet homemade granola, roasted coconut and drizzled agave on top.
