Prepare to be happy as a clam this weekend thanks to North Fork Table & Inn’s (57225 Main Road, Southold) carefully curated food and drink menu for the second annual Cosmos & Clamfest.
The Southold spot started the event last year, hosting the event on the Fourth of July, and because of the community’s positive reaction, they’re bringing it back.
“We wanted to create something special for the holiday that captured the spirit of summer on the North Fork,” says Bernice De Araujo, chief culinary officer for JF Restaurants.
From 5 to 9 p.m. on July 23 freshly shucked, baked and fried clams and seasonal favorites like skillet cornbread will hit plates at North Fork Table & Inn, meticulously paired with Cointreau cosmopolitans.
“We had noticed how much guests enjoyed gathering at the picnic tables and spending time on the lawn during food truck and beer garden season, so a cookout felt like the perfect fit,” says De Araujo. “From there, we gave the classic summer cookout our own North Fork Table spin.”

Another option for the night is whole roast pig, inspired by North Fork Table & Inn’s corporate chef Rob Lawson’s years living in Vietnam and the traditions he experienced there.
Cointreau, the event partner and well-known triple sec brand, brings a specific flavor to the classic drink paired with the cookout-style cuisine.
“Cointreau is the backbone of a great Cosmo,” says De Araujo. “It makes it bright and citrus-driven with that great juicy texture we love on a hot day with shellfish.”
It’s just another opportunity to get outside (weather-permitting of course) and enjoy a delicious sea-inspired meal this summer, priced at $130 per person.
“When we think about summer on the North Fork, it’s events like this that capture it best,” says Araujo. “Great energy, food and drinks flowing, and additional touches like lawn games that keep the celebration going.”
