As we gear up for fall, Oktoberfest celebrations bring Bavarian flavor to restaurants and breweries across the North Fork. Here’s our list of Oktoberfest events featuring steins of seasonal beer, German-inspired food and family fun.
Cooperage Inn Annual Fall Festival | Saturdays and Sundays, Sept. 12-Oct. 31, noon-6 p.m.
This outdoor festival (weather permitting) is weekends only and features live music; hot spiked cider and local beer, wine and spirits. Sample specials like roasted corn, bratwurst, Bavarian pretzels, NoFo pot pies, pumpkin bread and apple cider donuts. Check here for more information.
Jamesport Farm Brewery Oktoberfest | Sept. 24-Oct. 5, noon-8 p.m.
Head to Jamesport for Oktoberfest beer, German food specials and live music. On Saturdays and Sundays, join a keg rolling race or compete in the stein holding competition at this family and dog-friendly brewery. For details, look here.
Long Island Farm Brewery Oktoberfest | Sept. 22-Oct. 4, Tues.-Thurs. noon-8 p.m., Friday noon-9 p.m., Saturday 11 a.m.-9 p.m., Sunday 11 a.m.-7 p.m.
At Waterdrinker Family Farm’s Manorville location, you’ll find seasonal beer releases (Oktoberfest, Hefeweizen and Wet Hop Kölsch), live music, stein holding competitions with limited-edition LIFB steins, food trucks featuring German-inspired specials and Oktoberfest-themed trivia on 9/23 and 9/30. North Fork Table & Inn Oktoberfest | Sept. 26-27 and Oct 3-4, 11 a.m.-4 p.m.
It’s a Bavarian-style bash at the North Fork Table & Inn’s beer truck, with bratwurst, schnitzel and giant pretzels to munch on as you enjoy crisp draft beer. For details, look here.
Tuckers Taproom & Smokehouse Oktoberfest | Oct. 3-4, Saturday noon-9 p.m., Sunday noon-8 p.m.
