Encanto Crepes & Café (140C Main St., Greenport, 631-477-6533), a business founded on positive energy, moved their operation and sweet and savory treats just down the road in Greenport.
Now serving their Columbian coffee, crepes and other carefully curated menu items out of their new Main Street location, the husband-and-wife owners Gustavo Acero and Yuri Catherine are excited to continue growing the business, feeding customers and introducing their culture to North Fork foodies and coffee connoisseurs.
“My wife and I feel like this is the place we dreamed of opening when we opened three years ago,” says Acero. “There was a lot of love for the little space at 177 [Main St., Greenport] because it gave us an opportunity.”
The couple opened their first location on Valentine’s Day in 2023 after years of practicing their crepe making skills at home. Having moved to the United States from Columbia two decades prior, Acero pitched a mixed menu of dressed up crepes to his wife and she loved the idea.
“The whole concept was to bring good Columbian coffee to the area,” says Acero. “We wanted to pair it with something that was different and needed in the area and in Columbia, one of the largest restaurant chains is actually a crepery.”
They founded their business on three pillars: good energy, a clean space and great food.

From the start, it’s been a full coffee shop with an assortment of espresso beverages and a list of over 15 crepes, all made right before customers’ eyes in an open kitchen.
In their new location — half of what was once Di Angela Goods & Accessories, and Acero’s aunt Patty Carlos’ store — they’re keeping those same pillars and continuing their open kitchen concept, now with more room to service more customers and an expanded menu with 45 different varieties of crepes, plus other “Columbian goodies,” as Acero calls them, like arepas, cheese breads and loaded hot dogs.
A quick look at their menu shows that there is everything from breakfast crepes to meat crepes, to seafood-stuffed options, ice cream-packed ones, fruity items and loads of drinks (beyond their long coffee list) like juices, lemonades, smoothies and, to finish it off, spruced up ice cream cups.

With a background in graphic design, Acero heads the operation from a promotional standpoint and his wife, coming from a career in finance, from the logistical end while being very involved in front of house.
Despite this being their first retail food endeavor, they’re looking forward to hopefully expanding the brand while maintaining the quality, following in the footsteps of their grandmothers who established restaurant roots in Columbia.
“It’s a passion project,” says Acero.
