Built in 2018, this home was built in the Craftsman style to harmonize with the local and historic architecture. “We wanted it to meld with the neighborhood,” says Jerry Cibulski, the Century 21 listing agent who also worked with the builder on the design. The home is located on the site of a former potato field that was developed into a beach community. “Most of the homes have that 1940s-50 vibe: This has a modern floorplan but with a historic vibe.”

The kitchen has been designed using an informal zone system, says Cibulski, each dedicated to cooking, beverage service and entertaining. Having loosely assigned stations, he says, helps with the flow of the floorplan and keeps people from “tumbling over each other.”
“We’re getting past the trendy kitchen features and more leaning more toward functional and intuitive,” he says. The renovation installed new KitchenAid stainless appliances and Shaker-styled cabinets with quartz countertops. A mudroom and laundry are off the kitchen.
What else?
The fenced-in backyard overlooks a preserved maple forest. The two streets in the community of about 50 owners have their own private park and a beach and a beach association with covered pavilion area.
