Little Creek celebrated 10 years in Greenport this year, so we had to cover the beloved oyster shack and market’s anniversary with a full feature. Amy Brill really conveys the warmth and community radiating from the unique business, allowing readers to get to know Ian Wile, Travis Zurawski and Rosalie Rung. And David Benthal’s sunny photos are a perfect reminder of how special summer can be on the North Fork.

This story was written before Little Creek’s unexpected closure in October, which left shellfish lovers heartbroken until their grand reopening in December. Head over to their new digs at 211 Carpenter Street, order up a dozen oysters and a nice cold drink and slurp down this wonderful tale of 10 years building a local-loving business to shellabrate (or listen to the podcast on your walk over to Little Creek here).
