The 33rd annual Maritime Festival kicked off in Greenport Friday with food, music and fun at the Land and Sea Gala.
Hundreds gathered at the Greenport Yacht & Shipbuilding Co. to celebrate the village’s maritime history and taste the creations of nearly two dozen of the region’s restaurants, breweries, wineries and distilleries.
The annual event, which raises money for the East End Seaport Museum and Marine Foundation, also featured dancing, sea shanties, raffles and more.
The festival continued Saturday with an annual street fair and Merry Merfolk parade and costume contest.

It will continue through 5 p.m. Sunday with a street fair, sea shanty singalong workshop, snapper derby and ship tours.
