We all know the North Fork has some amazing wines, but now there’s a reason to celebrate it! The Wine Advocate, Robert Parker’s bimonthly wine publication, has rated several red, white, and sparkling wines from the Lenz Winery, Sparkling Pointe, Paumanok Vineyards, Macari Vineyards, Shinn Estate Vineyards and McCall Wines 90 points or higher. To celebrate, Lenz is throwing a North Fork 90’s event, where you’ll get the chance to taste all the spectacular wines.

“Long Island has been making high quality wines for several decades now,” Jerol Bailey, general manager of Lenz Winery, said. “The North Fork vines have matured, and we have highly focused and experienced vineyard managers, winemakers and owners who are focusing on providing the best wines that we possibly can. The recognition is outstanding, and you can taste the pride in every bottle.”

The tasting be held in the courtyard at Lenz Winery in Peconic throughout the day Saturday September 12 and Sunday September 13. You’ll have 90 minutes to taste 10 to 12 wines from around the North Fork, all rated 90 points or higher. Cheese and charcuterie will be served, as well as information on each of the wines.

“The North Fork is full of diversity, and the wine tasting flight that I have put together certainly shows that,” Bailey said. “I wanted to give these special wines a stage to shine and to showcase their remarkable quality.”

The featured wines include:

Sparkling: Lenz 2014 Cuvee, Lenz 2005 Cuvee RD, and Sparkling Pointe 2015 Blanc de Noirs
