Pace’s Dockside at Strong’s Water Club & Marina is known for its signature steaks and first class seafood, but each Thursday this summer it’s all about a Hawaiian pig roast.
The waterside restaurant in Mattituck introduced Luau Thursdays for the first time this summer. The weekly events are hosted outside at the Pace’s Dockside tiki bar and feature a smorgasbord of fun fare, games and live music.
The $35 prix-fixe buffet dinner includes traditional dishes such as Hawaiian roast pig with house made barbeque sauce along with rotating offerings such as a burgers, pulled pork sliders, hot dogs and peel-and-eat shrimp. The price also includes tap beer, wine and sangria — while it lasts.
“We like to change it up a little each week,” co-owner Kristina Pace said about the menu. “Once people started to learn about [the luau] it became a weekly thing for them. We have 20 options for people.”
The night also features family-friendly games like corn hole and dancing to live music provided by a rotating line-up of bands and DJs. The next one on Thursday, Aug. 9 with host Make Some Noise DJs.
Food is served from 6 to 8 p.m. and music lasts until 10 p.m. The prix-fixe meal is $35 for adults and $19 for children. Coming by boat? Reserve a slip at Strong’s Water Club & Marina by calling 631-298-4739.
Luau Thursdays will run through August 30.
