June has arrived, which means so has strawberry season on the North Fork.
Garden of Eve Organic Farm and Market in Riverhead opened up its U-pick farm June 1 and has been non-stop since.
“It’s been very, very busy with pickers,” said farmer Eve Kaplan-Walbrecht. “The berries turned out great this year and the weather has been perfect.”
The strawberry picking season should last through the end of the month.
