The Riverhead Project’s head chef Lia Fallon serves up chili at a previous cookoff.

Prepare your taste buds for one of the most creative and delicious events of the spring.

This Sunday, Clovis Point is hosting its Third Annual Great Clovis Point Chili Cookoff. As always, the event is expected to bring out many of the North Fork’s top chefs who will compete alongside home cooks in the challenge.

The event costs $30, which includes a taste of all the chili, a glass of the Jamesport winery’s merlot and a ballot to vote for your favorite.

All proceeds benefit Group for the East End, which is dedicated to preserving and protecting the environment on the Eastern Long Island through education, citizen action and professional advocacy.

The cookoff goes from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, March 30 at Clovis Point. (map it)
