Treat yourself to an evening of the East End’s finest fare during the area’s premiere food and wine tasting event of the season North Fork Fresh.

For one-night only restaurants, vineyards and breweries from across the East End will be in one place serving up samples of their most noteworthy foods and beverages to benefit the Oysterponds Historical Society.

Since 1944, the Oysterponds Historical Society has worked to preserve artifacts, documents, art and other surviving relics of the early settlers of Orient and East Marion.

Today the society maintains six historic sites in Orient and boasts an archive of over 70,000 documents and artifacts.

“Aside from being a fundraiser we wanted North Fork Fresh to be a great place to show what local restaurants, vineyards and breweries have to offer,” Oysterponds Historical Society administrative director Barbara Pfanz said.

The idea has really caught on. Now in its fifth year North Fork Fresh has more then quadrupled in size. This year the vent will feature more than forty local vendors including Macari Vineyards, Greenport Harbor Brewing Greenport, the Frisky Oyster, the Riverhead Project, and Claudio’s.

North Fork Fresh will be hosted Saturday, June 29 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on the Oysterponds Historical Society campus at 1555 Village Lane, Orient.

Tickets are $85 per person.
