Farmhouse Bed & Breakfast on Depot Lane in Cutchogue. (Cyndi Murray photos)

At Farmhouse Bed & Breakfast, innkeepers Robert and Joyce Barry want to share the joys of North Fork living with their guests.

From rolling farm fields to picture perfect sunsets, fresh garden greens and farm animals, the circa 1865 farmhouse has been completely refurbished to reflect the best of the region’s laid back vibe.

Located in Cutchogue, the inn is within walking or biking distance to several area shops, restaurants and wineries, but there is plenty to do on the property as well. Spend a relaxing Saturday night on the B&Bs back lawn with a glass of wine and a free movie.

The inn’s three luxurious guest suites were finished with comfort and relaxation in mind.

Amenities include a private on-suite bathroom with terrycloth robes, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotions and blow dryer.  Cable television and free Wi-Fi are available in every room.

CHECK RATES AND AVAILABILITY

Although there are no children allowed in the Cutchogue B&B, the inn has a sister beach cottage in New Suffolk perfect for families.

The cottage has the same amenities and is within walking distance to the beach.

An added bonus  — massage therapists are available for a private massage or a couples massage in your suite.  The Beach Cottage also has a private massage room and can accommodate a couples massage.

The Barrys grow their own berries on site.

Homemade and garden grown, the food at Farmhouse Bed & Breakfast captures North Fork eats at its finest.

The Barrys grow and farm the majority of the ingredients that go into your breakfast. Eggs are laid by their chickens, berries and herbs are picked from the garden and the honey is harvested by Ms. Barry’s herself from the inn’s beehive.

The three course breakfast includes items such as fresh hard boiled eggs, pancake souffle and homemade Irish soda bread and jam.

Those staying at the beach cottage can order a breakfast basket and it will be delivered at 8:45 a.m.

It wouldn’t be a farmhouse with the farm animals and Farmhouse B&B has plenty to visit.

Six-year-old dog Kubota — named after the tractor manufacturing company— is the welcome committee. But the inn’s baby chicks, chickens and horse are just as friendly.

“It is a completely different world from the city,” said Ms. Barry. “A lot of our guests come from Manhattan and have high stress jobs. On Friday you can see their tension, but we try to give people that visit a true feel of the North Fork. It is not fancy, it is normal North Fork living. By Sunday you can tell how relaxed they are. It doesn’t matter where they come from or what they do, when they come here, they are treated like family.”

Farmhouse B&B is located at 1855 Depot Lane in Cutchogue.
