Riverhead could soon be home to yet another beer brewer and tasting room, as Twin Fork Beer Co. has submitted a preliminary site plan application to build a microbrewery in town.

The proposed location is on the west side of Raynor Avenue, south of the Collision Centers of Riverhead. Located in an industrially zoned area, the plan calls for a one-story brewery with nearly 12,000 square feet of space. (more…)

That’s right: Mark your calendars because Riverhead’s second annual SantaCon Pub Crawl is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 5.

It’s been a good year for North Fork Chocolate Company so far, and the fall looks even brighter. This month, the Calverton-based artisanal sweets manufacturer will launch its first retail operation out of the main food court at Tanger Outlets in Riverhead.

“We’re very excited and happy to do something local for the community,” said owner Ann Corley. “It’s a new niche. There’s nothing like it here at the food court.” (more…)
