The Bridge Lane Wine lineup is full of crowd-pleasers, not only because of their taste and price point, but because they are sold in bottle, box and keg.
So how could this company, the sister label of Lieb Cellars, expand its fan-favorite party and travel-friendly offerings?

We’ve had a mild winter so far , so I can’t really complain too much. It’s been relatively mild and we haven’t had that much snow (can you hear that? It’s me knocking on wood). But when a wine like this week’s wine of the week, Lieb Cellars 2016 “Bridge Lane” Sauvignon Blanc makes its way to my tasting table, I can’t help but long for warmer weather — summer ideally, but spring works too. In releasing our “Wine of the Week,” Lieb Cellars 2015 Reserve Chardonnay ($24), the winery has brought back an old customer favorite — but with a bit of a fresh perspective.
This is the first reserve chardonnay Lieb has produced since the new ownership and management teams took over in 2013, but it’s not because they don’t like chardonnay.
“We had an overstock of Reserve Chardonnay and wanted to catch up before we produced more,” winemaker Russell Hearn told me. (more…)

That’s how The Washington Post describes Lieb Cellars’ 2011 Blanc de Blancs ($32), a sparkling wine made from 100 percent pinot blanc. The wine was selected by the newspaper as a great value for the holidays. (more…)

Aromas and flavors can transport us in many ways. A super-ripe, ultra-extracted wine from the left coast plops us down in the midst of a California summer — hot and almost always sunny during the day, cool at night.
