7-10 p.m.: ‘Reflexions: Art in the Park’ at Grangebel Park, downtown Riverhead. A walkable, interactive art exhibition featuring artists’ interpretation of light. Exhibit includes elements of LED, incandescent, laser, fire, black light, day glow and photo luminescent displays. May also be viewed during the day as a standalone reflective art display. Free.

• An exhibit of artwork by Mattituck artist Patricia Feiler will open with a reception at 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 3, at North Fork Community Theatre in Mattituck. The reception precedes the opening performance of the theater’s annual Variety Show, which raises funds for its scholarship fund. (more…)

Commercial aerial photographer Alex Ferrone doesn’t need to look far to find the perfect snapshot.
“Everything inspires me,” she says. “It could be scenery or something that could be abstracted out of scenery. It could be paint peeling off a wall. It could be a person and their looks, their expressions. I’m photographing all day long, even with my iPhone.” (more…)
• Work by Kasmira Mohanty of Farmingville will be featured at the Riverhead Town Hall gallery from Dec. 4 to March 4. The exhibit is cosponsored by East End Arts.
