Show your gratitude this Thanksgiving by supporting a good cause and preparing your body to burn off all that cornbread-cranberry stuffing and mashed sweet potatoes.
The 10th annual Mattituck-Cutchogue Teachers Association Thanksgiving Day 5k Turkey Trot kicks off Nov. 26 at 9 a.m. at Mattituck High School.
Proceeds will benefit Brendan House which will be a community group home located on Sound Avenue, the Wounded Warrior Project and the MCTA Senior Scholarship to be awarded in June 2016.
The entrance fee is $25 for those who sign up by Nov. 19. The student 5K fee is $15. The fee to sign up the day of the race is $30 and $20 respectively.
Runners and walkers can register the day of the race from 7:45 a.m. to 8 :45 a.m.
The first 300 registrants will get a T-shirt and awards will be given to the top three finishers in each male and female age category.
