Spring has sprung and so has summer-house rental season in the North Fork. Time is ticking to secure your vacation respite — here’s a preview of a few coming on line:

A converted cabin in Greenport Village
A three-bedroom, two-bath rustic chic cabin on nearly four acres with a swimming pool and hot tub offers a unique setting with a nature preserve, woodland retreat and proximity to vineyards and the beach. At 2,400 square feet, it can accommodate up to eight people, so bring your besties. There’s a 1,000-square-foot accessory building for overflow.
Rates: May and June: $25,000; July: $30,000; August – Labor Day: $30,000. September is available for $30,000.

A classic resort-style retreat in Southold
3,100 square feet are spread out over an open floor plan, a sunroom, four bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms. The grounds include an in-ground pool and hot tub, seating area including hammock, retractable awning for the outdoor dining area, poolside half bath, separate enclosed outdoor shower and kitchenette for all-day entertaining.

A shingled home with water views in Orient
Located at the tip of the Sound, this four-bedroom, four-bath home offers a 20 x 40 heated saltwater pool, lush backyard and privacy. There’s a large kitchen for group-meal preparation, generously sized dining areas indoors and out and a comfy-fitted lower level with an exercise room. Proximity to hiking trials and Orient Point County Park.
Rates: June: $25,000; July 31 -Aug. 14: $20,000; Sept. 10 – 30: $20,000; October: $20,000; November: $15,000. Not available in July or Aug. 15 – Sept. 8, but there is availability from Sept. 10 through the fall if you want to stretch your stay.

Harkening the summers of your childhood, this circa 1919 three-bedroom cabin is the quintessential summer retreat, with bead-board paneling, raftered ceilings, a stone fireplace and charm oozing from every corner. A sleeping sunporch offers dining space and water views. There’s a path leading to the Sound beach. Don’t come for fancy amenities: this is the kind of place for making memories.

A bucolic estate by the bay in Southold
Built in 1900, this six-bedroom, four-bath classic bayfront classic cottage offers a woodland setting and access to a sugar sand beach. Warm and comfy vibes, pretty paneling and exposed ceiling beams, lots of charming vintage vibes. An outbuilding with a bathroom accommodates overflow guests, so bring the clan.
Rates: July $25,000; August – Labor Day: $30,000; July + Labor Day: $55,000; September and October $15,000 per month.
