Oh, honey! A new sweets spot just opened its decadent doors, right in time to fill up the Thanksgiving table with tasty treats.
Amber & Crumb, a recent addition to the Shoppes at East Wind in Unit T, brings baked goods to consumers with fresh fruit and less sugar with honey. It’s an extension of Pure Raw Brands, a company that collaborates with beekeepers in Nassau and Suffolk counties, as well as New Jersey and Florida to bring customers raw, unadulterated, unfiltered honey.
“All of our products are natural, all fruit, no canned preservatives or fillings — real blueberries, real strawberries, real blackberries, real apples for our pies,” says Amber & Crumb operating manager James Mazin.
Get your desserts while they’re hot because, Mazin says, the store will produce in small batches.
“The concept of the store is to give a high quality, clean-ingredient product and not so much of it,” says Mazin. “Once we sell out, we sell out.”
Honey in all different forms — infused, in multiple sized containers and purporting all different benefits, will also be sold.
The business which officially opens on Nov. 21 will make pies, cookies, small batch popcorn and candy apples.
Mazin, who had a career in the mattress business, saw his industry get taken over by conglomerates, as well as online sites like Wayfair. A landlord of one of his stores was a beekeeper and pushed Mazin to hop ship and embrace the hive of the honey business.
“I realized that what he was saying was actually the best way out,” Mazin says. “I never looked back and I’m so happy.”

- Wildflower, blueberry, orange, chocolate and infused 1-pound jars of infused honey
- Hot, Wellness and Black Seed Honey in 1-pound jars
