Norine Pennacchia’s TouchGoods (53740 Main Road, Southold, 631-765-8455) offers more than a spectacular swathe of culinary tools and beautiful home accents, from sturdy kitchen accoutrements to stunning tableware, furniture and rugs: Pennacchia also has one of the best little bespoke lighting selections on the East End.

Her keen eye for design and quality was honed as a kid hanging around the showroom of her father and grandfather’s kitchen and bathroom design business. She moved to the East End in the early aughts and spent 12 years working with high-end designers and architects at the home and lighting store Country Gear in Bridgehampton before opening her own shop on the North Fork in 2016.

“People still want to touch, feel and see things in person,” Pennacchia says. “I love texture and I have a deep love for all things Italian. There’s nothing like Italian design! That’s where most of my lighting comes from.”

In the back room dedicated to all things illuminating, Pennacchia has curated an amalgam of unique, hand-hewn fixtures from small, family-owned Italian workshops. “People go into that lighting room and say, ‘I didn’t know you had this here — this is amazing!’” she laughs. “It takes them by surprise.”

1. Ferrloluce Vintage Azzurro Wall Light $472 “The aqua color is the most popular out here,” she says. “People use a lot of blues and very beachy colors, which work really well out here on the North Fork.” Indoor use only.

2. Il Fanale Group Fior di Pizzo Lamp $710 Made from Bassano ceramics with either copper or brass hardware, the delicate eyelet shade detail creates a playful floral light pattern when lit. Bonus: It’s outdoor-friendly!

3. Ferroluce Industrial Pendant $1,730. In addition to coming in 10 colors, the finish on these ceramic pendants can either be smooth or distressed for an antiqued look. Great for high-ceiling spots, as the cord can be customized to 55 inches.

4. Alice Mushroom Lamp $350 These cordless, whimsical table lamps come in different sizes and are touch-activated and rechargeable. Made in the UK, the base comes in your choice of walnut or white oak. You can let the multiple colors cycle through on their own, or simply touch and hold the shade when the hue you want comes up. It’ll retain your desired color.

5. Ferroluce Bumbum Wall Light $488 This fun, donut-like wall fixture comes in four groovy colors. “They’re definitely whimsical, and I’ve seen them work in interiors where you least expect it,” says Pennacchia. “They also look really great in a grouping.”
