If you’re like us, you’re pretty darned ready to get out and about. And the wonderful Main Street merchants of Southold are giving you reason this weekend. Both Friday, April 3 and Saturday, April 4 head to to Southold’s main drag for a Spring Refresh day-long walkabout.

Of course, most of us don’t need much of a push to stroll the main drag of the East End’s oldest English settlement. Chock-a-block with a multitude of small businesses packed with personality, there’s always something special to linger over here (and, as the event name suggests, reason to szuszh up your abode and your body). But in an echo of their Holiday Shopping Stroll, the local merchants decided why not celebrate the much-awaited good weather with a little community get-together.

“We encourage everyone to take a stroll along Main Road and the Feather Hill Shopping Center for a seasonal preview of what’s new in our local shops,” says Norine Pennacchia, owner of Southold’s TouchGoods. “Join us this holiday weekend for the kickoff of spring in Southold, featuring fresh finds, local charm, and unique offerings from your favorite merchants.”

Here’s a little preview of what to expect:

  • White Flower Farmhouse — $5 sale table and a $10 clothing rack outside.
  • White Flower Garden  — Easter plants, flowers, and branches.
  • TouchGoods will hold a sidewalk clearance sale with deep discounts on housewares and home decor, and will debut its new nursery decor space.
