Spring is almost here, and this week is packed with different ways to celebrate the season — the festival of Purim, St. Patrick’s Day events like the annual Jamesport Parade or a corned beef and cabbage dinner, and the return of the osprey to the North Fork. THURSDAY

East End Lions Club Corned Beef and Cabbage Dinner | The Clam Bar @ Alize Brewing Company, 10560 Main Road, Mattituck

Purim Feast | Chabad of North Fork, 725 Bennetts Pond Lane, Mattituck

CAST Culinary Program Pop-Up Dinner | Lenz Winery, 38355 Main Road, Peconic
This four-course farm-to-table dinner with Lenz wine pairings is prepared by Chef Ryan Carroll with program directors and students from CAST’s North Fork Culinary Program at 7 p.m.; tickets are $175, and all proceeds benefit the restaurant development course. For full menu and tickets, click here.

Community Blood Drive | Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, 269 Main Road, Aquebogue

St. Patrick’s Day Parade | Main Road Jamesport, beginning at Washington Avenue

St. Patrick’s Day Celebration | Mattituck-Laurel Veterinary Hospital, 940 Franklinville Road, Laurel

Shamrock Shuffle 5K | Tasker Park, Peconic
The 4th annual Shamrock Shuffle starts at Tasker Park in Peconic and ends at Greenport Harbor Brewing Company and benefits the Booster Club’s Senior Scholarship Fund; advance registration cost is $30 for adults and $15 for students, day of race is $35 for adults and $20 for students. Return of the Osprey Celebration/Mattituck Park District, 11280 Peconic Bay Boulevard, Mattituck
This annual celebration welcomes the osprey back at 12 noon at Breakwater Beach. The free family event will include an osprey nesting platform installation, a beach clean-up, children’s activities, and more. For more details look here.

St. Patty’s Day Corned Beef and Cabbage Dinner | Townsend Manor Inn, 714 Main St., Greenport
