This weekend brings opportunities to gather some last-minute gifts or to get outside with the family for a hike or an astronomy session. Christmas carols, an acoustic jam session, a visit with Santa, or a horse-drawn carriage ride all might be fun to squeeze on your to-do list on this busy week before the holidays.  

THURSDAY

Beach Plum Holiday Shop | Oysterponds Historical Society Old Point Schoolhouse, 1555 Village Lane, Orient

Thursday Night Soup Bowl | Chronicle Wines, 2885 Peconic Lane, Peconic

SATURDAY

Winter Wonders of the Night Sky | Custer Institute and Observatory, 1115 Main Bayview Road, Southold

Christmas Jubilee | Ram’s Head Inn, 108 Ram Island Drive, Shelter Island Heights

There’s a full slate of events to choose from this weekend at this historic inn, from a Christmas sing-along on 12/20; a Santa Brunch, kids’ activities, pop-up shop with local artists, and a mixology class on 12/21; and an art show and dinner with live music 12/22.
