We are six weeks away from the holidays! Before your calendar gets too full, gather friends and family this weekend and make a plan to enjoy some fun events going on around town. This week we suggest enjoying good food, doing some early holiday shopping, taking in a show of music or art, and getting out on the beach.

Oregon Road Organics x Alpina Tasting Menu | Alpina, 45 Front St., Greenport

Taste the Forks | Noah’s, 136 Front St., Greenport
On Friday at 6:30 p.m., Noah’s restaurant represents with a seasonal, locally sourced 4-course plated dinner and cocktail reception with wine pairings from Macari Vineyards and Bedell Cellars. The Chef’s Table Series | Grace & Grit, 55750 Main Road, Southold
On Saturday from 6-9 p.m., Grace & Grit and Chronicle Wines pair up to present a 4-course dinner and dessert. Chef Adam Kaufer and wine pairings by Saltbird Cellars and As If wines make for a memorable meal. Tickets are $125 plus tax and tips and close 48 hours before the event; to reserve click here.

Live Music by Klyph Black | Jamesport Farm Brewery, 5873 Sound Ave., Riverhead
Klyph Black plays a blend of blues, folk and rock on Saturday from 1-5 p.m. in the beer garden; enjoy the music along with a pint of the brewery’s finest. Seating is first-come, first-served. For more information, check here.

2nd Annual Carriage House Christmas Pop-Up Kickoff | Cutchogue-New Suffolk Historical Council, Village Green, Cutchogue
Visit this charming little shop situated in a late 19th-century former farm building for unique vintage and traditional gifts; enjoy a selection of Christmas teas and treats when you stop in. Last Super Moon of 2024 Celebration | Glen Hansen Studio, 1560 Youngs Ave., Southold
On Friday from 6-8 p.m., sip, nibble, and mingle as you take in Glen Hansen’s ‘Crescent Moon’ paintings; proceeds support East End Arts. Ages 21+; tickets are $40 and can be purchased at the door or in advance here.

Blended We Stand | Vine + Sand, 47100 NY-25, Southold
This multi-artist show kicks off with an opening reception on Friday from 5–8 p.m. featuring the works of Daniel Chalkin, Ian Wile, Sarah Prescott and Northforker contributing photographers Madison Fender and Jeremy Garretson. Shoreline Clean Up | Hallock State Park Preserve, 6062 Sound Ave., Riverhead
Learn about Long Island’s ecosystem and marine climate change in a short presentation, then help monitor for wildlife and collect marine debris on the park’s Long Island Sound beachfront, this Saturday from 10 a.m.-noon. American Soul Band | The Suffolk, 118 East Main St., Riverhead
Catch a high-energy show featuring Motown and R&B hits from the 60s through the 90s. The American Soul Band brings the moves and the grooves to the last large art-deco theater on Long Island on Saturday at 8 p.m. Tickets are $55-65 and can be obtained here.
