If you’ve spent time oohing and aahing over designer homes but aren’t up to the task of creating your own, this home in Southold — redone in high style — might be to your liking.

Kristy Naddell, the Douglas Elliman agent representing the listing, says the “stunning” renovations, done in 2022, give the house a complete facelift.

“The current owners really customized it and used high-quality materials,” she says. “It is truly turnkey: You don’t do a thing—just move in.”

The 2,600-square-foot home is sited on .92 acres in the Chardonnay Estates section of Southold — what Naddell calls a “quiet cul de-sac community” with a backyard offering complete privacy and yet, is very accessible to town.

The main floor of the home is devoted to the common areas, with a living room/kitchen open plan as the main feature at the back of the house. The tiled entry hallway is flanked by a formal dining room on the right and a den/family room to the left. A narrow hall leads straight back past the stairway to the eat-in kitchen with its large picture window overlooking the back yard, or you can make your way back through the den.

A generous light-filled space, positioned to the back patio and pool, the living room/kitchen serves as the main entertaining area. Here, an attractive marble-clad wood-burning fireplace serves as a centerpiece and complements some of the design accents in the bespoke kitchen.

The owners invested in equipment and high design in the kitchen, which is outfitted with custom wood cabinets finished with brass hardware and porcelain countertops, a La Cornue professional gas range and Sub-Zero refrigerator. The appliances are integrated in the cabinet work, giving the kitchen a clean, uniform and sleek look. The same marbled material for the countertops is used as an apron for the farmhouse-style sink, back splash and other accents, and mirrors the marbling around the fireplace. There is a powder room off the kitchen and hardwood floors throughout.

The second level is dedicated to the four bedrooms: a primary suite with its own bathroom and custom walk-in closet and three bedrooms. The primary bath has a large soaking tub, double-sink vanity with marble counter and an oversize glass shower. One wall features a crescent-shaped transom and custom wallpaper featuring elegant herons. The three smaller bedrooms share a large bathroom with a porcelain sink counter and custom tiles. The wall glass tiles, which continue into the shower, are peacock blue and a custom stained-glass inset with a peacock motif completes the décor.

The basement is unfinished, but has been outfitted with luxury vinyl floors and is ready for a new owner’s vision, says Naddell.

In the back yard, the current owner installed a new saltwater 18 x 44 heated pool with an automatic cover, a travertine patio and a fully fenced backyard with a sprinkler system. Other pluses include a two-car garage and a full house generator.

“Chardonnay Woods is a very serene, peaceful neighborhood and all the homes on this block are really beautifully appointed,” Naddell says. “This is a sexy house with sleek finishes and priced to sell.”

Chablis Path is a block from Soundview Avenue, with Town Beach offering the nearest beach access, and 2.2 miles from the town of Southold. The Horton Point Lighthouse Nautical Museum is 1.2 miles from the house and 2.6 miles from Founders Landing Park, which juts into Shelter Island Sound

The home at 310 Chablis Path lists for $1,825,000 and the details can be seen here.
