Guests and visitors alike are welcome to cozy up throughout the morning with a cup of La Colombe Coffee or relax into the evening with a cocktail at this swanky new bar at the Greenporter Hotel.
With a mix of colorful floral wallpaper, a cozy fireplace, and accents of maritime decor, Terra is the latest addition to the Greenporter Hotel – which recently underwent several small revitalization projects to upgrade the boutique hotel. The bar officially opened Labor Day weekend, offering both hotel guests as well as the general public a space to unwind and hang out with a cup of coffee or cocktail.
“It’s a really pretty space and we are excited to organically grow it,” said Director of Operations, Celso Moreira. “This is a great little spot to do work with a cup of coffee or stop by for a drink after dinner.”
Daily, from 7 a.m. until noon, Terra’s coffee bar offers a selection of La Colombe Coffee and pastries from Blue Duck Bakery located a few doors down from the bar. Coffee will continue to be served past noon if desired, however, at 5 p.m., the space shifts into a cocktail bar, serving classic and signature cocktails.
“Terra is open later than most places in Greenport,” said Moreira. “It’s a sexy, cozy spot to hang out in the fall and winter months.”
Every day from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m., a menu of small bites, charcuterie, salads, and flatbreads is available for guests of the hotel to order poolside or for late-night patrons looking for a quick bite. Food service will be available throughout the property – from the restaurant to the pool and on the front patio as well as the firepit.
Moreira notes that early next year, Terra plans to transform from a cafe and bar to a full-fledged restaurant, serving Mediterranean small plates and seafood.
“We want to involve a lot of the local farms and vineyards that we have available here on the North Fork. There is so much seasonal produce out here and we want to be a part of that,” added Moreira.
In the meantime, Terra welcomes everyone to stop by for a cup of coffee, a glass of wine or light bites throughout the fall and winter seasons. The café is open seven days a week from 7 a.m. to noon daily and the bar is open from 5 to 10 p.m. and is open on Fridays and Saturdays until 11 p.m. Find more information about the Greenporter Hotel here.
