Celebrate Mom with a wildflowers and wine workshop at Suhru Wines. (Photo credit: Suhru Wines)

Sure, brunch is great but, I can tell you personally, what mom really wants this Mother’s Day is to not have to make any plans and to go through the day without having to decide the what and where. We’ve made it easy for you to curate a special day for them with unique North Fork experiences that they’ll love.

The only thing mom likes more than an early bedtime is a lobster roll. Head to Macari Vineyards on Mother’s Day for the ultimate treat: a lobster roll, French fries, and two different glasses of Macari Vineyards rosé. The winery will be serving its sparkling rosé “Horses” and a new release 2022 rosé. And The Catered Fork will be plating lobster salad rolls and French fries. Reservations are available from 11 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. and cost $50 per person. Secure your spot here before they sell out.

Surprise mom with this one and drive straight to the magical gardens at Peconic River Herb Farm for their Annual Mother’s Day Tea on Sunday, May 14 from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Enjoy live music and complimentary refreshments. Bonus points if you pack a picnic.

Craft alongside mom at this floral hair comb workshop. On Saturday, May 13 from 1 to 2:30 p.m. at 1760 Homestead Farm, Alyssa of NOFO Flower Company will guide workshop participants through a floral hair comb tutorial using faux florals, greenery, and a vintage-style gold comb. Tickets cost $65 per person and can be purchased here.

Make it a doubleheader with two days of pairing events at Peconic Bay Vineyards. On Saturday, May 13 at 1 or 3:30 p.m. Braun’s Kitchen will be offering a taco and wine pairing with three tacos created by Chef Teri paired with three Peconic Bay Vineyard wines. The cost is $35 per person and reservations can be made here. Then, come back the next day on Sunday between 1 and 5 p.m. for a sweet treat of chocolate fondue by The Village Cheese Shop.

Wildflowers and wine are a winning combination. On Mother’s Day at noon and again at 2:30 p.m., Suhru Wines is hosting its annual Wildflowers & Wine workshop where participants will create their own unique style arrangement using local, sustainably grown blooms and botanicals from Nerdling Acres Flower Farm while sipping their favorite Suhru wines. Tickets cost $68 per person ($58 per person for wine club members) and can be purchased here.

If shopping is their thing this pre-Mother’s Day Bazaar at übergeek Brewing Co. is a must. On Saturday, May 13 from noon until 6 p.m. Let mom shop from 15+ locally woman-owned vendors and listen to live music by Deanna Hudson. Brunch staples will be available for purchase from Dashboard Diner’s food truck.

And, if you must brunch, you better pair it with flowers. On Saturday, May 13, Main Road Biscuit Co. is hosting a pop-up with North Fork Flower Farm where moms can indulge in biscuits and bouquets during their regular Saturday hours.
