Halloween is fast approaching! If you’re anything like me, you have waited until the absolute last minute to figure out a costume.

But don’t rush to a big box store for a bagged costume just yet. Get creative and build a lovely last-minute costume from these local spots.

White Flower Farmhouse Halloween Pop Up, 53995 Main Street, Southold

On Friday, Oct. 28 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m., White Flower Farmhouse in Southold will host a special popup curated by Sue Llewellyn where you can find costumes inspired by British period dramas like Downton Abbey, as well as characters like Cruella Deville, Elvira and more. Llewellyn is an award-winning creative director, so we’re excited to see her offerings.

The Times Vintage, 429 Main Street, Greenport

You never know what you’ll find at The Times Vintage. This groovy shop in Greenport always has cool clothes and tchotchkes that you could cobble together a cool, ’60s or ’70s inspired costume, but owner Elizabeth Sweigart also has curated a great selection of costumes both inside the store and on the racks outside.

Eastern Long Island Opportunity Shop, 321 Main Street, Greenport

You’ll find graphic tees, jackets, accessories and more at his thrift shop that supports Eastern Long Island Hospital. You’ll be building an awesome DIY costume and supporting a local medical center.
