For months, we’ve been patiently awaiting the opening day at Horton’s Flower Farm in Riverhead.
Thousands of vibrant zinnias, statice, celosia, sunflowers herbs, and many more flowers are now in bloom at the farm, where you can walk through the fields with a provided bucket and other materials to snip your own bouquet.
Reservations are $10, which is applied to your final arrangement and each stem ranges from $1-$2.50.
You can also wander through the field to admire the vintage decor among the flowers, take photos and relax. Next to the flower fields, there’s a small play area and picnic tables where you can bring a snack to enjoy. They also plan to host special events like yoga classes, paint nights and tarot card readings.
Horton’s Flower Farm is located at 712 Horton Avenue in Riverhead and is open Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. through October. For reservations and a calendar of events, visit hortonsflowerfarm.com.
