One Minute on the North Fork: Harvest at Palmer Vineyards

It’s that time of year once again! It’s the time when vineyards across the North Fork begin to harvest this season’s grapes to make into wine.

On a beautiful October afternoon at Palmer Vineyards in Riverhead, the Massoud Family – who also owns and operates Paumanok Vineyards in Aquebogue – spends their time harvesting the 90 acres of grape vines. The grapes are harvested both by hand, as well as machine.
