The gardens at Beds & Borders along Main Road in Laurel is a delight for the senses. Manager Luisa Alvarado has created a colorful oasis with brightly painted arbors, murals and a huge assortment of annuals, perennials, succulents, shrubs and garden decor.
On a walk through the gardens to pick out new additions for your own, you can admire butterflies, bees and hummingbirds and explore their specialty: native plants.
Alvarado said she’s hoping to bring back the popular Friday night artisan and vendor series staring Friday, June 24. The event kicks off around 6 p.m. and will feature local chefs, purveyors, artisans, small businesses and musicians.
