With Fourth of July landing on a Monday, fans of Greenport’s Dances in the Park will have an extra special way to spend the holiday evening this year.
They can celebrate their independence dancing in Mitchell Park.
The popular village concert series will once again present a different musical act in Mitchell Park each Monday night from July 4 through Aug. 29.
The concerts start at 7:30 p.m. and are free to attend.
Remember to bring a blanket and some chairs, and get there early to get a spot on the lawn.
This year’s lineup, which is expected to be approved by Greenport Village this week, is as follows:
July 4 — The Remedy
July 11 — Gene Casey and The Lone Sharks
July 18 — The No Request Band
July 25 — The Vendettas
August 1 — Milagro
August 8 — The Pump
August 15 — Southbound
August 22 — The Cravin Band
August 29 — Winston Irie
