Love Lane is about to become a tad sweeter.

North Fork Doughnut Company, which since 2018 has been open nearby on Main Road, is moving to a new spot on the picturesque downtown street Monday. The move gives owners Jimmy Lyons and Kelly Briguccia more room to operate since it’s a much bigger facility than their previous location. Mr. Lyons believes the relocation embodies the business’ commitment to the quality and consistency that customers have come to expect.

“When the opportunity came to move to Love Lane, we thought it was a no-brainer for us,” Mr. Lyons said of the three-month process to switch storefronts. “It really gives our employees and our customers a better place to shop, a better place to work and a better place for my wife and I to grow this business.”

As the fall season progresses, Mr. Lyons wants to assure customers and visitors to the North Fork that they’ll still be able to stop by and pick up their favorite flavors to start or end a fun day of fall activities.

“I feel that our company and our shop has become sort of a destination for people on the North Fork, kind of like the apple picking and the pumpkin picking, so we want to let the people know as much as we possibly can that we are moving to Love Lane permanently now.”

The new storefront is on the east side of Love Lane, adjacent to Haircutters of Love Lane.

Apart from classic flavors like glaze, jelly and Boston Creme that are available daily, the doughnut shop creates seasonal flavors at both its Mattituck and Bay Shore locations, which change every week.

Customers can look up the flavor forecast for the month at nofodoco.com. This week’s specials to launch the new location include chocolate pumpkin pecan and chocolate orange jaffa cake.
