Each week, we will be spotlighting a different farm stand on the North Fork as more open up. Treiber Farms on County Road 48 is open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday through Sunday at its roadside farmstand. Check the website for all their latest products available.

Name: Treiber Farms

History: After spending two seasons building and planting, Treiber Farms was opened in 2017 by Peter Treiber Sr. He started by selling berries to North Fork Table and Inn  that summer and expanded to working with many local chefs and restaurants. Since those early days, the farm has gone on to collaborate with Van Leeuwen Ice Cream of Brooklyn, Matchbook Distilling Co. of Greenport, Greenport Harbor Brewing Company of Peconic and countless chefs. The focus this year is getting the produce directly to the community on the North Fork. Since March, the farm has taken online orders for pick up and have recently opened their own little farm stand in front of the old barn on the North Road near the American Flag truck.

What they are offering: Raspberries, snap peas, cucumbers, beets, scallions, fresh herbs and loads of greens like lettuce, arugula, salad mix, kale and swiss chard.

What they will be offering: Summer squash and squash blossoms, carrots, tomatoes, peppers, eggplant, leeks, onions, potatoes, string beans, sweet potatoes, winter squash and more. The farm will also have specialty products like pesto, chicken stock, tea blends and honey as well as branded merchandise and scheduled tours with farmer Pete.
