Bespoke treasure hunters, mark your calendar. The East Hampton Antiques & Design Show will return for its 13th year to the grounds of East Hampton’s historic Mulford Farm. The show brings together more than 50 vendors selling rarities including antique furniture, jewelry, textiles and décor.
The show, hosted by The East Hampton Historical Society, is one of the largest of its kind on the East End. For two days the 3.5-acre farm, maintained by the historical society, becomes a hub for antique and art dealers and collectors.
This year the historical society has designated Shelter Island residents Jonathan Adler, a potter and modern American designer, along with his partner Simon Doonan, creative ambassador for Barneys New York and an expert judge on NBC’s “Making It,” as the honorary co-chairpersons of a preview cocktail party preceding the show.
“The East Hampton Antique & Design show has gorgeous stuff and even more gorgeous people attending,” Doonan said in a press release. “[My husband] is the ‘design’ bit and I am the ‘antique.’”
The main attraction of the show is vintage decorative items for the home and garden as well as art, according to the historical society, with styles from classic to contemporary displayed. Show-goers will be able to purchase classic rattan, bamboo, American and European country decorated furniture. Those searching for vintage lighting, textiles, weathervanes and mirrors will find them as well.
Collectables such as garden ornaments, wrought-iron accessories, industrial items, paintings, trade signs, and period jewelry will also be for sale, and a café will be on-site for connoisseurs to grab a light bite or a full meal.
“The East Hampton Antiques & Design Show is the best place in the world to shop for all the design treasures you need and the design treasures you didn’t even know you need,” Adler said in a press release.
The show runs Saturday, July 20 to Sunday, July 21. Show hours are Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $10, with early buying at $20. The early buying hour will begin on Saturday at 9 a.m. Tickets for the Friday, July 19 night Opening Night Preview Cocktail Party start at $175 per person and include return visits over the weekend. Junior Tickets (ages 40 and under) are priced at $100.
