Some of Long Island’s most notable chefs are temporarily taking over the kitchen at Tellers in Islip for a series of intimate dinners benefiting the region’s largest food bank, Long Island Cares.

Chefs Against Hunger is a six-week culinary fundraiser starting Monday, Sept. 23. Each Monday through October 28, chefs from Long Island’s top restaurants will be preparing a four-course dinner featuring locally sourced food and pairings with Long Island wine, beer or spirits. (more…)

Tucked away in a large industrial building Oceanside, stainless steel tanks are filled and taps are ready in a 400-square-foot nautical-chic tasting room. But there is not a drop of craft beer on-site.
