The clock is winding down on winter and it’s time to break free from hibernation mode. If you’re looking to recharge in time for spring, this wellness retreat at Pellegrini Vineyards in Cutchogue offers a combination of mindfulness, movement and community to get the season off on the right foot.
Instructors Jess Kelleher and Anne Pawlowski are hosting a Winter Refresh workshop on Sunday, March 10. The 5 1/2 hour course centers around practicing yoga, a mindfulness workshop and making connections with other participants.
“Our hope is that people join our retreat with the intention of pressing pause on the everyday chaos and mundane, and taking the time to be present with themselves,” said Kelleher, a certified yoga teacher. “Attendees will walk out of our retreat with a sense of renewal and armed with tools and new perspectives —the perfect opportunity for them to hit the ‘refresh’ button on life.”
Kelleher and Pawlowski, a personal coach and owner of Anne Pawlowski Coaching, launched NoFo Retreat in June 2018. The two North Fork residents shared a passion for health and wellness, but had never met before last year. They instantly connected when Pawlowski reached out to Kelleher, and the business idea was quickly realized.
“When Anne approached me last spring, we had no idea where this concept would take us,” Kelleher said. “It all started as two women, with very similar dreams, wanting to share the values of mindfulness and joy with others in our beautiful North Fork community.”
The March 10 wellness workshop is the first NoFo Retreat the winery is hosting. The course includes a locally sourced lunch and wine tastings. You’ll even get a bottle to take home with you.
“[We’re] enjoying movement, connection, mindfulness, and some amazing food and wine on March 10,” Kelleher said.
The Winter Refresh at Pellegrini Vineyards runs from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The cost is $225 per person. Visit noforetreat.com for all the details and registration information.
