Gray skies didn’t keep the cider lovers away for the fifth annual Pour the Core hard cider festival at Long Island Sports Park in Calverton on Saturday.

Locally, Woodside Orchards of Aquebogue and Furnace Spicy Hard Cider of Sag Harbor poured their cider, while newcomer Riverhead Ciderhouse of Calverton made its debut.

The event also featured the inaugural doughnut eating contest, although at press time, the winner of the competition was not clear.
