Craft beer junkies mark your calendar. Tickets are now on sale for the 2015 North Fork Craft Beer Festival.
The festival is scheduled for Saturday, August 8 at the Calverton Links property in Calverton.
“It will be the same great show everyone has grown to love for the last eight years, just a few towns west,” said Andy Calimano, owner of event producer, Starfish Junctions.
The 2015 lineup has not been set, but more than 60 craft brewers from across the world were showcased at the festival in 2014. Those breweries included the North Fork’s own Greenport Harbor Brewing Company, Long Ireland Beer Company, Crooked Ladder Brewing Company and Moustache Brewing Company.
“Long Island is the burgeoning craft beer hot spot on the East Coast,” Calimano said. “When we held the very first North Fork Craft Beer Festival nine years ago, many of the Long Island breweries we see today didn’t even exist.”
Designated drivers will also have something to toast. The festival will feature local food trucks and live music.
VIP tickets for the event are $75 (include one hour meet and greet with brewers) and general admission is $50 when purchased online in advance of the event. The price includes a souvenir tasting glass marked with a 2 oz. pour line and beer tasting. Food is not included with admission this year.
Designated Driver tickets are available for $10 plus tax.
The funds raised by the event will help area charities through the Beer For Brains Foundation.
The Long Island Potato Festival will be held in the same spot the following day. Read about that event here.
