Is McLovin’ coming to Riverhead?
We really have no idea who will be on scene on Monday when a new sitcom produced by Jimmy Fallon will film at Long Island Aquarium & Exhibition in downtown Riverhead. But some of the cast and crew of the pilot “Sharing” will be in town to shoot a scene at the aquarium’s penguin exhibit, according to Long Island Aquarium executive director Bryan DeLuca.
“[The producers] have been out a couple times for sight. They committed to filming in the penguin exhibit,” DeLuca told northforker. “[The characters] are going to be on lunch break or something. And it’s not necessarily going to be our aquarium [portrayed in the scene.]”
“Sharing” revolves a group of people who work side by side in a shared office space.
The show stars Christopher Mintze-Plasse — best known for his fake ID toting, scene-stealing role in 2007’s Superbad — as Grant, an eager-to-please receptionist who tries hard and wants everyone to like him, but isn’t that good at his job, according to Variety.
Christine Taylor will play Polly, who along with her husband owns the office space, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Stephen Schneider (Broad City) and Jack Carpenter (The Good Wife) have also signed on, according to Deadline.com.
Jeremy Bronson penned the pilot and veteran SNL director Beth McCarthy-Miller will direct, Variety reported.
DeLuca said he does not know which actors will be on set for the shoot.
“They haven’t disclosed that to us,” he said.
The aquarium will remain open to the public on Monday, though some areas will be closed for the shoot. Riverhead Town will allow the crew to use parking spaces near Turkuaz Grill in downtown Riverhead for trailers and equipment.
