The season of love is upon us and on the North Fork there are plenty of sweet events to celebrate. Check out what were most excited for this February.

Celebrate the season with WinterFest

Just because it is the middle of February doesn’t mean we still can’t have a party. On Saturday, Feb. 17, from 10 a.m. through 3 p.m., downtown Southold will come alive in celebration of WinterFest. In its third year, this annual event, with activities planned throughout the day, will include local shopping discounts, live music and fun, crafts for children, tours of Southold Historical Museum’s Maple Lane Complex and more (54545 NY-25, Southold). Find more information at on WinterFest Facebook page.

Sing along to all the hits

There is not a performer who puts on a show quite like Sir Elton John, but Gerald Brann and Yellow Brick Road come pretty close. During this tribute experience that captures both the look and sound of the iconic performer, audiences are invited to sing, sway and dance along to the timeless hits of the crocodile rocker. Brann and his band have garnered widespread acclaim and have both the endorsement of the International Elton John Fan Club and permission to use Elton John’s orchestral scores. This one-night-only performance at The Suffolk (111 East Main St., Riverhead) is on Friday, Feb. 2, at 8 p.m. Tickets start at $59 per person and can be purchased in advance here

Sunday funday

Before you say goodbye to your weekend, join Greenport Harbor Brewing Co. (42155 Main Road, Peconic) for a boozy brunch. Every Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., head to the brewery for French toast, chicken and waffles, egg sandwiches and plenty of craft beer — plus brunch staples like Bloody Marys and mimosas. Find the complete menu here
