Who says there is nothing to do on the North Fork in the winter?

Roanoke Vineyards on Love Lane in Mattituck has plenty of events planned to keep you busy well into spring.

Over the next couple months, the winery will not only bring back its popular Love Lane Stroll, it will also host a cook-off featuring notable Long Island chefs that you won’t want to miss.

Reservations are required for all events and can be made by calling Roanoke Vineyards at (631) 727-4161.

Friday, Feb. 20

Roanoke Vineyards on Love Lane is putting a twist on its Love Lane Stroll this February in honor of President’s Day.

During this Friday’s “Washington’s Birthday Stroll Down Love Lane” event, Roanoke Vineyards’ Rich Pisacano is taking guests down Mattituck’s most charming street in pursuit of life, liberty and the perfect pairing for cabernet sauvignon.

The evening promises to feature revolutionary food and wine.

Walkers will meet up at 6 p.m. at the tasting room.

Saturday, March 21

Diners get your spoons ready. Chefs Lia Fallon and Tom Fazio will arrive in Mattituck carrying an empty cooking pot and a hodgepodge of ingredients for Roanoke’s Stone Soup Challenge. As guests call to reserve a seat they will name an ingredient of their choice that the chefs will procure and use in the making of the soup.

Roanoke ‘s Stone Soup Challenge is scheduled for 7 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, March 21.

Saturday, March 28

Chef Tom Fazio is returning for Roanoke’s Stroll Down Love Lane in March.

The evening will run from 6 to 9 p.m. and features a four-star dinner with perfect wine pairings.

Participants will meet at Roanoke’s Love Lane tasting room.

Tickets are $100.

Saturday, April 25

David Perrin from Cedar House B&B is hosting April’s event. Think of this walk as a chance to break out your spring sandals and taste four of Roanoke’s great spring wines. Each wine will be specifically paired with a dinner course created by one of the many great chefs on Love Lane.
