Visit this North Fork fish market for the catch of the day. Stay for a yummy lunch served with homemade fries and cole slaw.

This week in What’s For Lunch we recommend the scallop bacon ranch quesadillas from the Southold Fish Market ($15) on Main Road in Southold.

The seafood creation makes us question why one would ever limit quesadillas to boring old chicken and cheese.

The quesadilla features, you guessed it, scallops, bacon, ranch and three melted cheeses served in a tortilla with cole slaw and a choice of salad or french fries (we went with fries). Substitute shrimp for $13.

In addition to menu items like seafood salad wraps and clam strip baskets, the full service fish market also has an array of fresh local fish like fluke and eel.

The Southold Fish Market is located at 64755 Main Road in Southold.
